news from The Community Fellowship

We are already at another weekend where our church family will be able to reach out to our community and be able to worship together.  May God use us to make a difference in the lives of people around us.

This is our 4th Saturday FREE community meal from 4 to 6pm.  Shannon and her team would appreciate volunteers to help them, and volunteers need to arrive at 3:30 or a little before.  Please pass the world to people you know who would enjoy this meal.

Sunday will continue our series called MARGIN, and we will be talking about finding margin in our morals and our choices.  Our families, our community, our county and our world desperately needs people who are committed to living by the standards God gave us in the Bible.  Pray for our time together this Sunday at 10:10am.

There are several people to pray for at this time:

  • Robert Cook is the man who got sick last Sunday at church, and he is doing great now.
  • Donna Pratt’s father has been in critical condition in a Jackson, Mississippi hospital the last few days but it improving.  Tom and Donna are spending time with her family.
  • John DeOms will be having surgery this next Thursday due to having a hernia.
  • Continue to pray for Milette Canty-Wright and Steve Canty.
  • Pray for Lynn Chaney and her baby Amelia.  Amelia is 4 months old and will be going to spend the weekend with her daddy.  Please pray for Amelia and Lynn as this is very tough.
  • Cindy Hall asks us to pray for a friend of hers who is going through a rough time.
  • Kevin Crowley continues to have some issues with his heart rhythm.  Pray for DR’s to find the problem and correct it.
  • Pray for George Evans as he continues to look for a job, and pray for his family as well.
  • Billy Watts is one of our faithful volunteers.  He fell and hurt his knee.  Pray for his health and personal requests.
  • Amy Webster’s mothers boyfriend passed away last Sunday.  Please pray for this family.
  • The hope4thehomeless5k run is one week from Saturday.  Please join in the fun by registering to run or walk.  Volunteers are needed.  This is a great way to help the homeless in our community.
  • Here are few other people on our prayer list: Shay Allen’s grandfather, Sheri Mechum who will go back to court in 2 weeks, and for those who are in jail — Patrick, Tim, Cliff, Rob, Sheri

Thank you for being part of The Community family.  Our latest COMMUNITY 101 class will end this Sunday, and this has been a great group of people.  We have some great days ahead of us.  Get ready as God continues to bless our fellowship and is leading us to even greater days!

See you this weekend!!!!
